CCI has announced a new ammunition line aimed squarely at shooters running suppressors on handguns and pistol-caliber carbines called Blazer Brass Clean-Fire Suppressor. The lineup focuses on subsonic performance and reduced residue, two factors that can significantly affect suppressor maintenance and long-term reliability.
The new loads are built around subsonic velocities to avoid the sonic crack that undermines suppressed shooting. Each cartridge uses a Total Metal Jacket (TMJ) bullet, fully enclosing the lead core, paired with a lead-free primer and clean-burning powder. Together, these components are intended to limit the buildup of heavy-metal fouling inside both barrels and suppressors.
CCI says the reduced fouling translates to easier cleanup and more consistent operation over extended shooting sessions. For launch, the lineup features three popular calibers: 9 mm Luger with a 147-grain bullet, .40 S&W with a 180-grain bullet and .45 Auto with a 230-grain bullet.
In addition, the new Blazer Brass Clean-Fire Suppressor loads are designed to meet power factor requirements for competitive shooting, making them viable for match use.
Blazer Brass Clean-Fire Suppressor ammo is part of CCI’s broader 2026 product lineup and is positioned as a practical option for shooters looking to reduce maintenance while shooting with a suppressor. For more information, go to cci-ammunition.com.
