Powell Wins Again, Takes High Over All Title At 2024 NSCA South Central Regional

Team Remington’s Brandon Powell continues his dominance in sporting clays competition with his latest victory at the NSCA South Central Regional in Texas, Sept. 3-8, 2024.

To close a summer filled with sporting clays competition success, Team Remington’s Brandon Powell claimed the High Over All title in the Main Event at the 2024 NSCA South Central Regional, held in Fort Worth, Texas, Sept. 3-8.

Remington Ammunition sponsored shooter Brandon Powell added another title to his resume after winning the Main Event High Over All title at the 2024 National Sporting Clays Association South Central Regional, along with claiming the Super Sporting and Five-Stand event victories to cap an impressive performance. The competition took place at Defender Outdoors Clay Sports Ranch in Fort Worth, Texas, September 3-8. 

Powell defeated 671 competitors in the Main Event with a score of 196/200, fired a perfect 100 straight targets to win Super Sporting, and triumphed over nearly 500 competitors in the Five-Stand event with a score of 99/100.

With the 2024 NSCA Sporting Clays Nationals right around the corner, other Team Remington shooters also posted solid performances leading to the premier sporting clays event of the year. Turner Parcell was the runner-up in the Main Event with a score of 194/200, as well as the Junior Champion. In addition, Todd Hitch finished as M1 in the Main Event with 191/200, also taking the Junior runner-up spot.

Brandon Powell walked away from the 2024 NSCA South Central Regional with a total payout of $12,492. 

“Brandon continues to add to his impressive summer of success. This is his second regional Main Event title in a month, adding the South Central Regional title to the Northeast Regional Championship he won in Maryland,” Remington Vice President of Marketing Jason Nash said about Powell’s back to back sporting clays victories.
