At the conclusion of the first round of 1920 (Match X) at the 2017 Bianchi Cup, U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit (AMU) team member SFC Adam Sokolowski made history, firing the first ever perfect 1920 score in Metallic. Sokolowski's high score of 1920-148X is 10 points over the previous Metallic record, held by longtime action shooter Rob Leatham.

Leatham, however, broke his own Production record this week by two points, finishing Match X with a score of 1912-59X.

Last year, SFC Sokolowski won the Production Championship. He switched to Metallic this year, citing a desire to "challenge himself." SFC Sokolowski is also a NRA Precision Pistol (Bullseye) shooter.

Tomorrow at the Colt Championship Final, the Bianchi Cup course of fire will be reshot. Champions will be determined from the top 16 Open shooters, as well as the top four in Metallic, Production, Women, Junior, Senior and Grand Senior from Match X.

Stay tuned for a full match report after the conclusion of the championship.
