U.S. secures FITASC Ladies Team title on international sporting clays stage

A trio of U.S. shotgunners—Shelby Moon, Madison Sharpe and Karen Shedd—won the gold medal in the Ladies Team event at the 2022 World FITASC Sporting Clays Championship, held July 14-17 at the TAV Orvieto Shooting Range in Botto, Orvieto, Italy.

Team Remington’s Madison Sharpe, pictured here on the right, not only won gold with the U.S. Ladies Team, but also earned a silver medal in the Individual Ladies event at the 2022 World FITASC Sporting Clays Championship.

 

The U.S. Women’s Team secured the gold medal with a score of 520, triumphing over eight international teams, including runner-up and silver-medal winner Australia, who finished with a score of 499. Rounding out the top three teams in the Ladies event was France taking the bronze medal with a score of 495.

Top shot for the United States Women’s Team was Team Remington’s Madison Sharpe with a score of 178, followed by Karen Shedd of Team B&P with 172 and Shelby Moon not far behind with a score of 170.

Madison Sharpe was shooting Remington’s Premier STS Target Loads. In the Individual Ladies event, Sharpe also earned a silver medal with a score of 190 after an intense shoot-off with the gold medalist, fellow U.S. shooter Ashley Little, who walked away from the final with a score of 220.

The top U.S. shooter at the 2022 World FITASC Sporting Clays Championship was Gebben Miles, who tied for fifth place with a score of 220 in the Open division.
