At this year's Bianchi Cup presented by MidwayUSA, there was a change in format. After firing the traditional four Bianchi Cup events (Match X), the top 16 shooters overall, the top four Metallic shooters, top four Production shooters, top four women, top four juniors, and top four senior/grand senior shooters shot all four events again to determine the final rankings and the winner of the Bianchi Cup.

These top 36 shooters had to use the same guns, ammunition and equipment that they used in Match X for the Colt Championship Final.

At the end of the day Doug Koenig won the inaugural Colt Championship Final, earning a record-setting seventeenth Bianchi Cup Championship title in the process.
