Team Federal shooter Tim Herron won the Single Stack division at the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) Area 2 Championship, held in Prescott, Ariz., Nov. 5-8 at the Yavapai Recreation League and Prescott Action Shooters facility. Herron finished the match with a time of 215.13, securing the Single Stack title and also taking 58th place in the overall standings.

The match included 12 challenging courses of fire, featuring long-distance, 50-yard steel targets along with multiple moving and activated targets. Herron achieved perfect scores at five stages (2, 4, 6, 8, 9), and notably at Stage 4 he scored 143 points.

Herron was quick to give praise to his ammunition for his success at the match.

“I’m very pleased with a solid performance at this match, and I credit the smooth-running Federal American Eagle .45 Auto, 230-grain. It certainly helped me secure this big win with its exceptional accuracy and superb reliability,” said Herron. “I want to thank Federal for their continued overall support of the shooting sports and for the several years of supporting of me. I couldn’t do this without you.”
