Team Beretta shooters secured 12 podium finishes at the 2021 National Sporting Clays Championship, held October 22–31 at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio, Texas.

Joseph Fanizzi won both the HOA and Junior National Championship titles shooting his Beretta A400 Xcel Sporting, nailing 284 out of 300 targets. Fresh from his outstanding performance at the World FITASC Championship, Fanizzi ends the 2021 season with the honor of being named the 2021 NSCA Championship Tour HOA Champion. In addition to those top prizes, Fanizzi secured a junior third-place podium finish in the 5-Stand event with 89 of 100 targets.

Meagan Harrington, competing with a Beretta 694, was crowned the 2021 Ladies National Champion after hitting 272 of 300 targets. Capping a strong season, Harrington also finished third in ladies for the 2021 NSCA Championship Tour.

For both Fanizzi and Harrington, the victories mark the first national championship wins of their budding careers at the top of their respective categories. Fanizzi has won several sub-junior and junior national titles in past seasons, but this event is his first high overall (HOA) national championship.

Anthony Matarese, Jr., with his Beretta DT11 L, was named the FITASC HOA Champion with 96 of 100 targets, after a tense shoot-off with three other competitors, including teammate Dominic Gross. Matarese ended his season as the 2021 FITASC Grand Slam Champion.

As for Zachary Kienbaum, he was the runner-up in the main and 20-gauge events with scores of 283 of 300 and 95 of 100 targets, respectively. He was shooting his Beretta DT11 shotgun.

In addition, Desirae Edmunds was the ladies champion in the Beretta Super Sporting Challenge event after hitting 92 targets out of 100.

Team Beretta shooters will start the 2022 season at the Gator Cup, which will be held at Cherokee Rose Sporting Clays in Griffin, Ga., next March. Learn more about Team Beretta at Beretta.com.
