Gator Cup: Team Remington’s Powell Wins HOA Title, Sharpe Lady Champion

Team Remington shooters Brandon Powell, Madison Sharpe and Turner Parcell all performed admirably at the 2024 Gator Cup sporting clays tournament, held at the Back Woods Quail Club in Georgetown, South Carolina, March 12-17. The Gator Cup brings together the nation’s top sporting shooters for one of the most prestigious tournaments on the sporting clays circuit.

Reigning National Sporting Clays Champion and Team Remington member Brandon Powell added another accolade to his burgeoning list of accomplishments this season, winning the Gator Cup’s Main Event High Over All title with a score of 190.

For winning HOA in the Gator Cup Main Event, Powell earned a payout of $5,000.

In addition to his HOA victory, Powell also won the Friday Preliminary AIM event with a score of 98, as well as taking fourth place in the Five-Stand competition with 95 targets.

Team Remington sporting clays phenom Madison Sharpe won the Gator Cup’s Lady’s Championship with a score of 167, while also earning M3 (fourth place overall) in the FITASC event with 89 targets. Additionally, Team Remington’s Turner Parcell was the Main Event runner-up in the Junior category with a score of 184.

In all, there were 759 shooters competing at the 2024 Gator Cup.
