In a charged atmosphere of raw speed and razor-sharp accuracy, Mason Lane of Team SIG emerged victorious at the 2025 USPSA Race Gun Nationals, securing the Limited division crown with a commanding final score of 2213.8829. His margin of victory was 39 points clear of the runner-up.

The match, held October 24-26 and hosted by Southern Utah Practical Shooters in Hurricane, Utah, gathered a staggering 616 competitors in the sprawling arena of the largest single Nationals event in the history of the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA). From the onset, the terrain and proceedings promised nothing less than world-class: 19 demanding stages set across rugged terrain and designed to test the full gamut of marksmanship skills.

Lane’s triumph belongs to many chapters: the long march of preparation, the split-second decisions on stage-by-stage lines and the mental toughness to close things out amid the highest stakes. The Limited division traditionally celebrates high-end race guns without the open-optics modifications, and the 2025 Race Gun Nationals also featured the growth of optics-equipped classes alongside traditional gear.

From the start, the tempo was unrelenting. Lane stood out not simply for his gear or pedigree—though as a member of Team SIG Sauer he benefits from elite support—but for his capacity to rise when the match demanded.

His 2213.8829 score wasn’t just the highest in his division; it placed him firmly ahead of the game. Being 39 points clear in an event of this scale and intensity says more than a margin, it speaks to dominance.

Of course, this championship doesn’t exist in a vacuum. Lane’s win comes on the heels of joining the Team SIG roster in 2024, a move that validated his talent and reaffirmed his place among the sport’s elite. His success in Utah now bolsters a résumé already built on major national titles and international experience.

Ultimately, Lane’s win is one for the books. It shows what emerges when skill, equipment, mindset and match-day resolve align. As the crowd at Greater Zion in Southern Utah filed into the awards banquet, the story was clear: Mason Lane didn’t just win, he dominated the Limited division.

Other division champions included:

  • Open – Christian Sailer, 2258.4206
  • Pistol-Caliber Carbine – Max Leograndis, 2195.1993
  • Limited Optics – Adam Grimm, 2155.3315
