Alliant Powder has introduced a consistent, clean-burning propellant with the release of the company’s new Sport Pistol powder. The new powder was designed with action and precision shooters in mind.

According to Alliant, the new Sport Pistol powder will deliver precise performance with all bullet types. The low-muzzle-flash formulation was optimized for polymer-coated bullets—no need to worry about lead vaporization due to intense heat during the ballistic cycle. The medium-fast burning Sport Pistol powder is also very temperature stable, so there should be little velocity deviation to worry about.

Shipments of the new Sport Pistol powder are being delivered to dealers now. Sport Pistol powder comes in three sizes—1-pound for $27.25, 4-pound for $99.70 and 8-pound for $184.75.
