The Wildlife Committee of Washington (WCW), a non-profit sporting club with a public range is centrally located in the Puget Sound region. Locally known as the Kenmore Range, WCW is located 15 miles north of downtown Seattle and was incorporated in 1945. The range is affiliated with both NRA and CMP, and serves a regional population of over 3 million.

Nestled in an 80-acre wildlife preserve, the club’s range facilities include two covered rifle ranges (50, 100, 200 and 300 yards), a covered pistol range (7, 15, 25 and 50 yards), a shotgun range (Trap and Five Stand), an indoor range (50 feet for .22 LR rimfire, air gun and archery) and three archery ranges (Field, Flat and Walk-Thru). The club boasts over 2,000 active members.

The club provides several NRA certified classes. Some, such as Home Firearm Safety, Basic Pistol, and Basic Rifle are conducted monthly. Additionally, there are classes available to become a certified NRA instructor, as well as for Hunter Safety.

Regarding competitions, four disciplines are represented with matches conducted frequently. Rifle competitions include NRA Approved Matches, CMP Games, Benchrest Rifle, Cast Bullet Rifle, Bench Rest Rimfire—plus an Indoor Smallbore 4-Position Rifle League. Pistol matches are held for Air Pistol, Centerfire, and .22 LR Rimfire. As for shotgun, WCW conducts Pacific International Trapshooting Association (PITA) events and also hosts a Women’s’ Shotgun event the third Sunday of every month.

Upgraded club facilities are on the horizon for WCW.

"We plan to remodel our pistol range and provide a social gathering space for interaction for all members and the public alike," said President Joe Rinaldi.
