In brutally hot conditions, Team Remington shooters Brandon Powell and Madison Sharpe turned in standout performances at the 2025 FITASC World Championships, held July 24-27 in Kornos Village, Cyprus.

Both athletes earned silver medals in their respective divisions and were also instrumental in Team USA’s success on the team leaderboard.

Powell, who recently repeated as World Sporting Clays Champion, continued his dominant form. He posted a final score of 189 in the Men’s Open division, just two targets behind France’s Matthieu Delmas, who took gold with a 191. In addition, Powell’s steady performance throughout four days of demanding shooting conditions helped the U.S. Men’s Team secure silver in the team competition.

Madison Sharpe added to Team USA’s medal count with a silver in the Ladies division, finishing with a score of 174—only one target shy of the gold medalist from Spain. Sharpe’s strong finish also aided the U.S. Ladies Team in a decisive gold medal victory, finishing a full 30 targets ahead of the Spanish squad.

The FITASC World Championship is known for testing even the most experienced shooters, and this year’s event was no exception. Competitors faced technical targets and extreme heat throughout the week. Despite the challenging environment, Powell and Sharpe stayed consistent across multiple courses, demonstrating the kind of poise that defines world-class performance.

Their individual silver medals mark yet another milestone in what has already been a standout year for both shooters. Powell, in particular, has now medaled in back-to-back world-level events, reaffirming his position as one of the sport’s best.
