Team Remington’s Ben Bell had an impressive performance at the 2023 U.S. Steel Nationals, in Daytona, Fla., from March 17-19.

Ben Bell, who competes across a variety of shooting sports disciplines including Steel Challenge, USPSA, IPDA and PRS, is one of Remington Ammunition’s very own mechanical engineers in the rimfire production area. He proudly represented Big Green with a first place victory in his class (A) in the Rimfire Pistol Open division, along with posting a top 10 finish in rimfire pistols overall.

There were 36 competitors in the Rimfire Pistol Open division field at the 2023 U.S. Steel Nationals.

Bell’s best stage at the competition was No. 3 Smoke & Hope, which he finished with a 7.77-second time. His final RFPO division time was 81.38 seconds, placing him seventh in the 36-competitor field.

“Ben is an up-and-coming competitor that’s sure to make a name for himself and for Remington rimfire,” Steve Monniere, Remington’s rimfire product line manager said. “If this start to the 2023 season is any indicator for the rest of the year, we’ll continue to see big wins from Ben and Big Green.”

The U.S. Steel Nationals have quickly gained a reputation as a top-tier shooting tournament under Match Director Doug Koenig. Held at the Volusia Gun Club in South Daytona, Fla., this premier shooting event garnered strong industry support and had top shooters committed to attend, but was was forced to reschedule last October due to Hurricane Ian. Now, the U.S. Steel Nationals are back and better than ever as one of the most anticipated competitions of the year.
