Winchester and the Amateur Trapshooting Association (ATA) have announced the company’s new designation as “The Official Ammunition of the ATA.”

For over a century, Winchester has been a leading advocate for trapshooting through direct promotion of the sport and through support of the ATA and its events. As one of the ATA’s most prominent sponsors, Winchester cemented its support with this continued commitment to the organization and its members. In recognition of this level of support, the Amateur Trapshooting Association decided—for the first time in their history—to award Winchester this distinguished honor.

“The Winchester and AA brand have been so influential in helping the ATA promote trapshooting that they have without a doubt earned our appreciation and this new title,” said Lynn Gipson, executive director of the ATA.

Says Matt Campbell, vice president of sales and marketing for Winchester:

“Millions of people across the United States participate in target shooting and the numbers only continue to grow … men, women, youth and people of all ages simply love to be on the range with friends and family. As the world’s largest producer of small arms ammunition, Winchester is committed to doing our part to promote the shooting sports and this affiliation with ATA demonstrates our support.”
