Team Hogue sponsored shooters had a strong showing at the 2016 National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) Rimfire Challenge World Championship. The defending champion, 17-year-old competitive shooting phenomenon Kolby Pavlock, repeated his past victory with another win—beating fellow Hogue shooter Trenton Mitsuoka by 2.52 seconds over 16 difficult stages. Trenton ended up winning the Open Division because Kolby shoots in the Limited Division. Kolby won the overall championship with iron sights. Cheyenne Dalton won the Ladies Limited Division Championship.

The NSSF Rimfire Challenge is a program created to introduce new people to the shooting sports and provide a pathway to shooting competition—with a fun and exciting first-time competitive shooting experience. Competitors shoot steel targets using both .22LR rifles and pistols.
