The NRA and USA Shooting are working together to highlight the talented competitive shooting athletes representing the USA in Rio this August.

Beginning this month, Rio in Sight coverage from Shooting Sports USA, NRA's Competitive Shooting Journal, will profile USA Shooting athletes competing at this year’s XXXI Olympic Games. The series begins with an up-close look at shotgun shooter Morgan Craft, a world champion from Pennsylvania who will showcase her skills in women’s skeet on the sport’s biggest stage.

Each month leading up to Rio, competitors such as Matt Emmons, Vincent Hancock, and Kim Rhode will be featured, and readers will truly get to know their favorite athletes. Shooting Sports USA will also preview the Paralympic Games.

“The only way the story of talented USA Shooting athletes can be told is if we work together to tell it. With Rio in Sight, the NRA wants to help USA Shooting unite the shooting sports community around the idea that shooting is our Olympic sport,” said Doug Hamlin, Executive Director of NRA Publications.

“Our athletes are the story. Collectively they represent everything that we love about the shooting sports,” said Kevin Neuendorf, Director of Media and Public Relations for USA Shooting. “We appreciate this tremendous forum the NRA is providing to help tell their story to more people.”
