At SHOT Show 2019, Aimpoint officially launched the Acro P-1 red dot sight in the U.S. Although developed for handguns, this micro red dot can also be used on rifles, carbines and shotguns.

At SHOT Show 2019, Aimpoint had the Acro P-1 on display mounted on Beretta APX Combat pistols, which are optics-ready.

The new Acro P-1 is designed to mount directly to optics-ready handguns with the help of an adapter plate. The 3.5 MOA red dot reticle is adjusted by large buttons on the side of the unit. The buttons are big enough to be easily manipulated by gloved hands. The red dot brightness has 10 points of adjustment.

The new sight was built for rugged use. By sealing the optical channel inside the anodized aluminum housing, the signal between the emitter and the lens is completely protected. The delicate electronics and battery are also protected by sealing them inside. All this means is that foul weatherand the rain, dust, mud and sand that can come with itwill not disrupt the operation of this micro red dot.

The sight is sealed, so the enclosed optical channel protects the signal between emitter and the lens.

In addition to the aforementioned ability to withstand extreme environments and temperatures, Aimpoint tested the Acro P-1 and found it could handle at least 20,000 rounds of .40 S&W shooting. And, its completely submersible in water to 25 meters.

The unit is powered by a single CR1225 battery that Aimpoint says provides one year of continuous operation on power level 6 of 10. The battery can be changed without removing the sight from your gun. Additionally, the Acro P-1 is compatible with night vision devices.

MSRP is $660. Be on the lookout for a future review of the Aimpoint Acro P-1 in a future issue of the digital magazine. In the meantime, learn more at us.aimpoint.com.
