Do firmly keep in mind that your adjustable block is not going to last forever, and maybe not long at all. The same hot gas that cuts into and erodes barrel steel does the same thing to the gas block. Do not use one on a pistol-length system.

The system from Odin Works I use has 20 click-stops. After firing, I routinely put my wrench on it and click it a few times in either direction, and then back to where it was, in hopes of keeping the mechanism moving freely. This block is also easy to disassemble and can be rebuilt.
