The 2023 ACUI-SCTP National College Championships kick off March 21 at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio, Texas. More than 800 collegiate athletes on 72 teams hailing from 29 states will be at the competition, which runs through March 25.

The SCTP (Scholastic Clay Target Program) is hosting this match in partnership with the ACUI (Association of College Unions International) at the National Shooting Complex.

San Antonio’s National Shooting Complex has long been home for the collegiate world’s national shotgun championships. ACUI has hosted this Collegiate Championship event for more than 50 years, with athletes contesting for trophies and scholarships. Support from SCTP will only enhance the match for college athletes.

ACUI Educational Program Manager Taylor Blechschmid said, “We’re excited to be back in action at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio, Texas, for the 2023 ACUI-SCTP Collegiate Clay Target Championships.”

Last year, the ACUI and SCTP announced their partnership for collegiate clay target competition.

SCTP National Director Tom Wondrash said, “Throughout the season we have been hosting joint events as part of our SCTP-ACUI Bowl Series, with great success. We are happy to bring our large-scale competition event experience and scoring system to this partnership, with an aim to provide the best experience for our college teams in what is now the premier college-level clay target event in the nation.”
