Today at the 2016 Bianchi Cup presented by MidwayUSA, Doug Koenig made history with a record-setting seventeenth Bianchi Cup Action Pistol Championship title.

This year's Bianchi Cup Championship had a change in format, with the new Colt Championship Final putting the top competitors by class and division in what is essentially a second firing of the match. Koenig had the lead going into the Colt Championship Final with a perfect score of 1920-183X. His combined Match X and Colt Championship Final aggregate score was 3840-361X, two points higher than this year's runner-up, Troy Mattheyer.

Congratulations to all the winners!

Editor's Note: SSUSA will publish the full results of the 2016 Bianchi Cup in a future article.
