Fiocchi has announced its acquisition of Lyalvale Express, a British-based shotshell manufacturer established in 1983 in Lichfield, England. The brand joins the Fiocchi Munizioni, Fiocchi of America and Baschieri & Pellagri small caliber ammunition brands under the Fiocchi Group umbrella. The closing of the deal was on April 6, 2022.

A top ammo manufacturer, regular Shooting Sports USA readers will remember when Fiocchi acquired Baschieri & Pellagri in late 2020.

Strategically, the acquisition of Lyalvale should further consolidate Fiocchi Group’s standing in the hunting and sporting clays shooting segments. Increased manufacturing and product portfolio expansion will result in a complete range of premium and super-premium products for consumers.

The Fiocchi Group will benefit from increased manufacturing from four plants on two continents: the historical Fiocchi Munizioni plant in Lecco, Italy, the Baschieri & Pellagri facility in Bologna, Italy, two Fiocchi of America plants in both Missouri and Arkansas, and the newly acquired Lyalvale Express facility in Litchfield (north of Birmingham), United Kingdom.

“We are excited to announce this transaction, which has a significant strategic value. Lyalvale Express becomes part of a Group with an unbeatable historical heritage and will benefits from outstanding innovation capabilities and from a large production platform which will generate important synergies,” says Maurizio Negro, Fiocchi Group’s chief executive officer.

Anthony Acitelli, Fiocchi of America chief executive officer and president, adds, “The acquisition of Lyalvale Express not only brings an established brand with quality product to the Group portfolio, but additional manufacturing capacity to service Fiocchi Group’s wide range of customers and consumers. We look forward to expanding and capitalizing on this important addition to our leadership position in the ammunition industry.”
