At the recent Arkansas State IDPA Championship, the Wilson Combat team showed up strong, with members taking a home a number of commendations and awards. IDPA Distinguished Master Greg Martin dominated the competition with his CQB Elite, taking home the Division Champion title in Enhanced Service Pistol, claiming the position of High Senior, and even registering the best overall time in the match. Meanwhile Jared Wilson, shooting his Wilsonized Glock 34, picked up the Division Champion title in Stock Service Pistol, as well as the fourth best overall in the match.

When asked about his run, Jared said the following: “The Arkansas State Championship was a blast. At first it looked like a simple straight forward match, but then we started shooting, there were some challenging shots to be made and game plans that didn’t go as planned. Overall the match was well run and I enjoyed shooting it. My Wilsonized GLOCK 34 ran without an issue and my Ares Tactical competition gear worked flawlessly as always.”

Wilson notched up another Division Title on the merits of Austin Prouix’s steady shooting, who topped the Custom Defensive Pistol (CDP) division with his .45 ACP chambered CQB Elite. He additionally took the High Industry title.

High Lady Mandy Bachman (pictured at top), meanwhile, finished first in the ESP Master division armed with her CQB Elite, and placed second overall in the match. About the intensive effort that went into her excellent showing, Ms. Bachman remarked: “I had several errors in the first two stages of the match, and quickly decided that I wasn’t going to let that set the pace for the day. I really had to put a lot of focus into shooting accurately and executing the stages as I planned.”

Rounding out Wilson’s wildly successful team were Pat Doyle, who was second place SSP Master and High Law Enforcement while shooting his Beretta/Wilson Brigadier Tactical; Guy Joubert, who came in first CDP Expert with his X-TAC Elite; Walt Prouix, who landed at seventh place CDP Master and seventh overall with his CQB Elite; and Ryan Hern, the youngest member of the Wilson Team, who finished second in the Junior Division.
