German Precision Optics (GPO) says its new tactical riflescope, the GPOTAC 4.5-27x50i FFP, is "designed for professional use, as well as shooters and hunters who demand the very best in long distance and tactical shooting." Priced at $1,499, this high magnification, first focal plane optic is ideal for anyone looking for an affordable tactical riflescope.

GPOTAC 4.5-27x50i
Built on a 34 mm main tube, the GPOTAC 4.5-27x50i's magnification throw lever is removable.

Beginning with optical features, the GPOTAC 4.5-27x50i FFP sports a 50 mm double HD objective lens system with GPObright high transmission lens coatings. The 34 mm main tube is dust-proof and waterproof, and the body is nitrogen-filled. Custom designed turrets are mil-based and include a Zero-Stop system. Additionally, the adapted magnification system throw lever is helpful for multiple shooting situations.

GPO reticle
The illuminated mil-spec LRpro magnifying reticle is powered by the GPO iCONTROL illumination system.

The locking turrets have 0.1-mil adjustments and are uncapped for fast access. At 100 yards there are 115 inches of elevation adjustment, and the same amount for windage. Eye relief is four inches.

The 4.5-27x50i GPOTAC FFP includes the aforementioned throw lever, cleaning cloth, see-through bikini ocular and objective lens scope covers, plus one extra CR2032 battery.

As mentioned, the GPOTAC 4.5-27x50i FFP optic is priced at $1,499 and is available at retailers now. Learn more at gpo-usa.com.
