Springfield Armory is expanding its Waypoint family with the addition of new Model 2020 long-action rifles.

The new Model 2020 Waypoint long-action rifles are available chambered in 7 mm Rem. Mag., 7 mm PRC, .300 Win. Mag., 300 PRC, .270 Win. and .30-'06 Sprg. Springfield Armory guarantees .75 MOA accuracy.

The Model 2020’s action features dual locking lugs on a fluted bolt and an optimized extraction cam.

The heart of these bolt-action rifles is the custom-grade Model 2020 action machined from pre-hardened stainless steel with EDM cut raceways. The Cerakote finished action also has an integral recoil lug. Plus, the fluted bolt can be disassembled without tools and employs dual cocking cams.

More from Springfield Armory: “Designed for the most demanding hunters, the Model 2020 Waypoint family strikes a critical balance between light weight and rugged durability.”

A hand-painted, carbon-fiber stock by AG Composites is hand-laid and pillar-bedded for precision and repeatability. Available in both adjustable and standard configurations, the stock features quick-detach mounts, M-Lok slots for mounting bipods and accessories, and is hand-painted in your choice of Ridgeline or Evergreen camo.

Each Model 2020 Waypoint rifle is free-floated and is available with a 24-inch carbon-fiber or fluted stainless steel barrel.

The long-action Model 2020 Waypoint rifles are available with a free-floated carbon fiber-sleeved barrel that sports subsurface fluting to reduce weight, as well as to provide cooling channels, which aids in cold-bore to warm-bore repeatability. Also, there is a traditional fluted stainless steel barrel option. In addition, the TriggerTech “Field” trigger is adjustable from 2½ to five pounds.

“The release of the Model 2020 Waypoint marked a new era for modern bolt-action rifles from Springfield Armory,” Steve Kramer, the vice president of marketing for Springfield Armory said. “Building on this tradition are these new long-action variants, bringing new levels of performance and power to hunters and shooters.”

MSRP for the new Model 2020 Waypoint long-action rifles ranges from $2,173 to $2,670, depending on the version. Visit springfield-armory.com.
