Stevens Shotguns is adding a new Sporting model to its 555 12-gauge lineup, which the company says is designed specifically with sporting clays and trap competitors in mind.

Sporting 30-inch ported barrels, the Stevens Shotguns 555 Sporting 12-gauge over/under model (MSRP: $991) has an overall length of 48½ inches.

 

This 12-gauge over/under shotgun sports a three-inch chamber, aluminum alloy receiver and 30-inch ported barrels, along with a raised ventilated rib with mid-bead rear sight and fiber-optic front sight. The stock and fore-end are made from Turkish Walnut, with adjustable comb height and a 14.5-inch length-of-pull. The trigger is a single selective mechanical one. In addition, the barrels are chrome lined and there is also a tang-mounted manual safety.

Five extended chokes are also included with the 555 Sporting—Full, Improved Modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder and Cylinder.
