The search is over. Former National Team Member Matt Suggs is to be the new CEO for USA Shooting. He will begin on August 1. Suggs brings an 18-year competitive rifle shooting career highlighted by multiple National Championships, World Championship medals, and participation in numerous NRA, CMP and USA Shooting programs.

Suggs has served on the USA Shooting Board of Directors since May 2019. During that time, he stepped in as a strategic leader and helped guide the organization through recent challenges, including the coronavirus pandemic. Suggs has experience across sales, marketing, leadership, and operational functions from the Army, General Electric, Ariba and Oracle. For the past 10 years, Suggs served as executive vice president for Mediafly Inc., where he led the sales and customer success functions. As a member of the executive committee, Suggs helped guide the overall strategy of Mediafly and built many of the business processes that helped make Mediafly the chosen sales enablement provider for companies such as PepsiCo, Goldman Sachs, The Walt Disney Company, IBM, and LG.

While earning a degree in Engineering from the University of South Florida, Suggs was an All-American rifle team shooter. He also won the individual silver and team gold at the 1987 World Air Gun Championships in Budapest, Hungary. Following graduation, he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Army. His involvement with the shooting sports continued while he served as an instructor and shooter for the International Rifle Section of the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit (AMU) at Ft. Benning, GA. Suggs competed in national and international shooting competitions representing the U.S. as a member of the AMU and U.S. National Team. Additionally, he is the holder of International Distinguished Shooter Badge No. 310.
