USA Shooting: Skeet Athletes Earn Four ISSF World Cup Medals

Kim Rhode, Vincent Hancock and Sam Simonton earned gold and silver medals for Team USA this week at the 2023 ISSF World Cup Shotgun in Doha, Qatar.

USA Shooting skeet athletes earned a total of four medals at the International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) Shotgun World Cup in Doha, Qatar, March 4-13.

In the individual skeet events, the team took home three medals. Kimberly Rhode, (El Monte, Calif.), won the gold medal in Women’s Skeet after a shoot-off against her teammate, Samantha Simonton, (Gainesville, Ga.), who earned silver.

In Men’s Skeet, Vincent Hancock, (Easton, Ga.), shot a perfect qualification score to land him in the finals, walking away from the event with a silver medal.

Hancock and Rhode went on to win the gold medal in the Mixed Skeet Team event after defeating France in the final. Rhode now has a total of 37 ISSF World Cup medals and Hancock upped his total to 25.

Additionally, Christian Elliott, (Phenix City, Ala.) and Dania Vizzi, (Odessa, Fla.) competed in the Mixed Skeet Team event, taking sixth place in the overall field.
