52nd Annual Daisy National BB Gun Championship

Only one month to go until teams begin arriving in Rogers, AR, for the 52nd Annual Daisy National BB Gun Championship (The Daisy Nationals), the largest national 5-meter BB gun match in the nation. This prestigious event has been held in Rogers since 2010, and conducted by Daisy each year since 1966.

Teams from all over the United States earn the privilege to attend by placing first, second or third in a state match. These young shooting athletes (ages 8 to 15) will be competing for medals and national records shooting Daisy's 499B Champion single shot BB gun, described as the most accurate BB gun in the world. As an incentive for coaches to develop teams for competition in local and state matches, Daisy presents a monetary award to each team which  attends and competes in this match.

The event begins on Friday, June 30, when teams arrive to practice. During the four-day event, the teams will find an opportunity to tour the Rogers Daisy Air Gun Museum and visit various attractions in historic downtown Rogers and the surrounding area.

The 5-meter competition begins Sunday, July 2, but shooting is only a part of this contest. Each competitor will also complete a written test on rules and gun safety, and the score is a significant part of the overall team score. Other activities adding to the fun include a painted gun, best t-shirt and other side-contests, as well as a barter bar (a trading event for athletes).

Closing ceremonies and award presentations for the 5-meter competition begin at 6 p.m. on Monday, July 3, followed by Daisy Night at the Water Park, when all teams are invited to gather, swim, ride water slides and watch the fireworks.
