Pro shooter Dave Sevigny has reached a monumental milestone: 250 career match victories. His combined first place finishes in Rimfire, Limited and Open pistol divisions make him one of the winningest all-time competitors in action shooting over the past 20 years. Notably, Sevigny was the 2009 NRA Bianchi Cup Production Champion, and the 2014 NRA World Action Pistol Championship Production winner.

The 250 match victory milestone was reached last month at the North Florida Steel Challenge in St. Augustine, FL. Sevigny collected his career wins competing in United States Practical Shooting Association, International Practical Shooting Confederation, Steel Challenge, Pro-Am Shooting, International Defensive Pistol Association, NRA Action Pistol (Bianchi Cup) and Tactical Shooting Association matches.

“Keeping track of my stats all these years was done as a formality to measure my own performance and track personal growth,” said Sevigny. “Shooting sports changed my life in many good ways and I’m thankful to those who helped get me to this level.”

Over the course of his competitive shooting career, Sevigny has competed with a variety of handguns—including striker-fired semi-automatics, rimfire pistols, 1911 single stack pistols and other 1911-inspired designs. The majority of Sevigny’s wins were accomplished with Sevigny Competition sights that he designed in collaboration with Scott Warren of Warren Tactical Series. The sights allow for improved sight acquisition and speed of alignment under the rigorous demands of competitive shooting.

Sevigny’s next competition will be in June at the 2018 Steel Challenge World Championships in Talladega, AL.
