Once again, two-time Olympic gold medalist Vincent Hancock has proven he is one of the greatest athletes to ever pick up a scattergun in competition. At the 2019 ISSF World Cup for Shotgun in Acapulco, Mexico, his shooting can be defined with only one wordperfect. Shooting a total of 185 targets without a miss during qualification and the final, Hancock picked up the Men's Skeet gold medal as a reward for his efforts, making him an 11-time ISSF World Cup gold medal-winner.

The accolades for Team USA's star Men's Skeet shooter didn't end there. Hancock equaled the qualification world record for the third time in his career, and his score also matched the finals world record. He was the only shooter to hit 125 targets for the duration of the two-day qualification round. Hancock is no stranger to success in Mexico—this is his second time shooting 125 of 125 targets during qualification in Acapulco, previously doing so in 2015.

As mentioned above, once in the final, Hancock continued his perfect streak with 60 of 60 targets to equal the final record and secure the victory. This marks his first unblemished final ever in international competition.

As for quota slots awarded for the upcoming 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, the U.S. is already maxed out and thus none were awarded to Team USA in Acapulco for Men's Skeet. This is due to Hancock's dominant performance last year at the ISSF World Championship in South Korea that awarded a quota, and also when fellow Olympian Frank Thompson earned Team USA a quota at the 2018 Championship of the Americas in Guadalajara, Mexico.
