Rise Armament has decided to make its popular Watchman rifle available to consumers. Developed with the help of law enforcement and military snipers, competitive shooters and firearms instructors, the success of the .223 Wylde-chambered Watchman in these circles undoubtedly motivated Rise to release this firearm to the masses. Notably, the Watchman is available in both rifle ($1,349) and pistol ($1,449) configurations.

As for the Watchman itself, noteworthy features include a free-floating stainless steel barrel, forged aluminum receivers, black-nitride BCG and a match-grade trigger. In the rifle configuration the barrel is 16.1 inches long with a mid-length gas system to help manage recoil. As a pistol, the Watchman has an 11.5-inch barrel with a carbine-length gas system. Additionally, the Veil prong-style flash hider is included.

The skeletonized design aids in weight reduction, along with a slim profile. The handguard has a 12 o'clock top rail with MLok slots and quick-detach points. As a rifle, the weight is 6 pounds, 8 ounces and as a pistol the Watchman weighs 6 ounces less. In addition, a Magpul pistol grip and MOE stock come with the rifle (SB Tactical SBA3 brace for the pistol).

Purchase of the Watchman includes one magazine and the Rise Armament lifetime manufacturing warranty. It's built in the U.S., specifically Broken Arrow, OK. Learn more at risearmament.com.
