Collegiate Rifle: Week 6 CRCA Top 20 Poll

The Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) poll for the sixth week of the 2021-2022 rifle season has been released. Weekly CRCA rankings are based on each team’s score from the last score recorded by a team.

The University of Alaska-Fairbanks remained No. 1 in this week's poll, while the Kentucky Wildcats jumped to the No. 2 spot ahead of No. 3 WVU.

No. 1-ranked Alaska-Fairbanks is undefeated for the season with five wins. The team's last victory came on the road, defeating No. 18 Citadel 4736-4593. Next for the team will be a road trip on Saturday, November 13 to Annapolis, Md., to take on No. 14 NC State and No. 9 Navy.

As for No. 2 Kentucky, the rifle team recorded its highest team aggregate score ever on Saturday, October 30, posting a 4736 in its victory over Navy in Annapolis, Md. Navy finished the match with a score of 4686. Next, Kentucky will host No. 5-ranked Ole Miss on Saturday, November 6 to begin four consecutive matches at home.

On Sunday, October 17, No. 3 WVU defeated NC State, 4730-4652. NC State was ranked No. 11 at the time. WVU next faces No. 4 TCU on the road Saturday, November 6 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
