2016 Smallbore State Team Postal Matches

New for 2016—there will be no registration fees for Smallbore State Team Postals! Shooters will also be happy to note that smaller teams will be allowed, and participation pins will automatically be sent out.

Outdoor Conventional Prone
Course of Fire:  (Conventional Dewar) Twenty (20) shots at 50 and 100 yards, with metallic sights (A-23 and A-25 targets will be used).

Teams:  One team from each state may participate in the NRA State Team Postal Match. Teams will consist of four (4) firing members and all must be residents of the state represented by their team. No person may be a member of more than one state team each year for the same type of competition. 

Team Selection:  State Championship sponsors will use the scores fired from the Dewar Course, metallic sights prone course of fire which is 20 shots each at 50 and 100 yards, of the four high scoring state resident competitors in the State Outdoor Conventional Prone Smallbore Rifle Championship.

Outdoor Metric Prone
Course of Fire:  (Metric Dewar) Twenty (20) shots at 50 and 100 yards, with metallic sights (A-50; A-51 and A-33 targets will be used).

Teams:  One team from each state may participate in the NRA State Team Postal Match. Teams will consist of four (4) firing members and all must be residents of the state represented by their team. No person may be a member of more than one state team each year for the same type of competition. 

Team Selection:  State Championship sponsors will use the scores fired from the Dewar Course, metallic sights prone course of fire which is 20 shots each at 50 and 100 yards, of the four high scoring state resident competitors in the State Outdoor Metric Prone Smallbore Rifle Championship.

Indoor Conventional 3-Position
Course of Fire:  Thirty (30) shots. Ten (10) in each of the following positions: prone, standing and kneeling in the stated order. Distance is 50 feet, with metallic sights (A-17 targets will be used).

Teams:  One team from each state may participate in the NRA State Team Postal Match. Teams will consist of four (4) firing members and all members must be residents of the state represented by their team. No person may be a member of more than one state team each year for the same type of competition. 

Team Selection:  State Championship sponsors will use the scores fired from stage one for prone, standing and kneeling at 50 feet, metallic sights, of the four high scoring state resident competitors in the State Indoor Conventional 3- Position Smallbore Rifle Championship.

Course of Fire:  Forty (40) shots. Ten (10) in each of the following positions: prone, sitting, standing and kneeling in the stated order. Distance is 50 feet, with metallic sights (A-17 targets will be used).

Teams:  One team from each state may participate in the NRA State Team Postal Match.  Teams will consist of four (4) firing members and all members must be residents of the state represented by their team. No person may be a member of more than one state team each year for the same type of competition. 

Team Selection:  State Championship sponsors will use the scores fired from stage one for prone, standing and kneeling at 50 feet, metallic sights, of the four high scoring state resident competitors in the State Indoor Metric 3-Position Smallbore Rifle Championship.
