Located on 2,405 acres just an hour east of Denver, the Colorado Rifle Club has been dedicated to promoting the shooting sports since its founding in 1925. The club offers its 725 members a choice of 25 different shooting disciplines in which to participate. It has an active high power rifle program, and NRA smallbore competition has proven a popular choice among members for more than 70 years. Additionally, there are Project Appleseed, Benchrest, IDPA, Rimfire Challenge, Steel Challenge, and USPSA matches available.

The club’s facilities includes ranges for archery, pistol, smallbore, silhouette, schuetzen, high power rifle, long range, and sporting clays. When cowboy action shooting became a staple among activities at the CRC, a new facility was built to accommodate cowboy action events. The club’s property is also a wildlife sanctuary, something members are proud to support.

The Colorado Rifle Club hosts a variety of NRA regional and state championships throughout the year and always welcomes new shooters and members.

“I’m proud of the progress we’ve made, the interest generated in the shooting sports. There are a lot of new shooters coming on. It feels good to see them develop and become better shooters,” said Dennis Reul, president of the club.

The CRC also opens its doors to help the local law enforcement and military units. Without adequate facilities available, in the past the CRC has welcomed soldiers of the U.S. Marine Corps, allowing them to complete training and qualification exercises prior to deploying overseas. The club also makes its amenities available to local youth groups and other parties interested in the shooting sports.
