The University of Kentucky rifle team jumped to No. 1 in the latest Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association rankings after garnering a pair of victories against Ole Miss and Akron last weekend. Previously ranked No. 3, Kentucky’s score of 4716 against Ole Miss was the highest score in the nation.

Not only was it the top score in the country, Kentucky's score against Ole Miss is the highest it has shot since 2018, when the program won the NCAA rifle championship. Kentucky next faces Navy at home on Saturday, November 16.

The No. 2-ranked WVU rifle team remains at No. 2 after a bye last weekend. Its most recent scores are 4704 from a win at Ole Miss and 4714 against Memphis. Next up for WVU are matches at home against Akron on Saturday, November 16, and NC State on Sunday, November 17.

The formerly top-ranked TCU rifle team fell to No. 3 despite a win against Murray State. TCU's score of 4702 just wasn't enough to topple Kentucky's score of 4716. TCU next faces Memphis and Nebraska at home on Saturday, November 16.

Here are all the schools in the CRCA top 10. The weekly rankings are based on each team’s highest score shot at its most recent match.

  • No. 1 Kentucky
  • No. 2 WVU
  • No. 3 TCU
  • No. 4 Air Force
  • No. 5 Akron (T)
  • No. 5 Nebraska (T)
  • No. 7 NC State
  • No. 8 Ole Miss
  • No. 9 Murray State
