Burris is adding to its tactical optic lineup with the new-for-2025 XTR PS (Precision Shooter) riflescope geared towards competitive and long-range tactical shooters.

Offered in 3-18X 50 mm and 5.5-30X 56 mm magnification ranges, the XTR PS combines Burris’ micro-adjustable PĒK (Programmable Elevation Knob) technology and an onboard HUD data center. Plus, it’s built on a one-piece 34 mm maintube chassis milled from 6061-T6 aluminum.

The Burris PĒK system for elevation adjustment uses a clickless turret and digital position sensor. Unlike conventional turrets, PĒK provides 1/30-MIL adjustment accuracy. This advanced system enables long-range shooters to achieve pinpoint bullet drop compensation.

More features include a Christmas tree-style Burris SCR 2 illuminated first-focal plane reticle (red or green), zero-click-stop adjustment knob, side focus parallax adjustment and index-matched, Hi-Lume multi-coated lenses. In addition, the soft-touch side array buttons located near the parallax adjustment knob are designed for ergonomic menu operation.

The XTR PS HUD delivers eight data zones, providing essential firing solution information with a quick glance. Central to the display is the elevation position, or “dial-to-distance,” which is displayed in yards, meters or MIL. By simply ranging the target distance and rotating the elevation knob to match, shooters can eliminate on-the-fly BDC calculations, reliance on dope cards and dialing errors. The PĒK system further enhances accuracy with a single rotation offering more than 19 MILs of adjustment.

Additional features of the HUD include wind hold, unit of measure, battery meter, digital riflescope level, wind direction, wind speed, density altitude and angle compensation. Competition shooters should note that a countdown timer has been added as well.

Burris engineers have integrated the XTR PS with the BurrisConnect app, allowing you to create and upload custom ballistic profiles from your smartphone or tablet. Once stored locally, these profiles enable the system to operate independently of the app for uninterrupted performance in the field. Each ballistic profile includes more than 20 density altitude curves to reflect changing environmental conditions. These curves can be selected directly on the scope.

MSRP for the Burris XTR PS 3-18X 50 mm is $2,400. As for the XTR PS 5.5-30X 56 mm model, the price is $2,640. Go to burrisoptics.com.
