Springfield Armory has announced the release of a special limited-edition rifle highlighting 50 years of the M1A, a faithful semi-automatic recreation of the iconic M14 rifle chambered in .308 Win. that the company has crafted since 1974.

M1A 50th Anniversary rifle
Each of these precision-crafted M1A rifles from Springfield Armory has a limited-edition engraved op rod and hand-selected walnut stock with a distinguished 50th anniversary medallion.

In recognition of its original 1974 launch, the M1A 50th Anniversary Rifle will be offered in a limited run of just 1,974 rifles. Included with the rifle is a hand-built display crate constructed of Eastern white pine, along with an OD Green cotton canvas sling, cleaning kit and M14 Army TM-9-1005-223-12 technical manual.

The M1A 50th Anniversary Rifle sports a flash suppressor with integrated bayonet lug, giving it the classic M14 profile. Plus, the action is precisely fitted into a hand-selected walnut stock adorned with an inlet 50th anniversary crossed cannon medallion. In addition, each rifle features a custom-engraved 1 of 1974 operating rod, which symbolizes its unique place in history.
