At SHOT Show 2019, Cimarron unveiled the new replica 1862 Colt Pocket Navy Conversion revolver chambered in .380 ACP. Regular NRA Publications readers might remember when American Rifleman magazine reported on the new gun last year, while it was awaiting approval from the ATF. As to be expected, it was worth the wait.

Cimarron intends for this historic firearm replica to be a relevant everyday carry gun for today’s modern shooters. As such, this five-shot revolver features a six-inch barrel, blued finish, color case-hardened frame, brass trigger guard and a varnished walnut stock (one-piece).

The 1862 Colt Pocket Navy Conversion was originally produced in percussion .36 cal. Police or Pocket Navy Revolver, a smaller version of the “Colt Revolving Belt Pistol of Naval Caliber.” The 1862 percussion versions were smaller, allowing users to carry the guns concealedinstead of on their belts.

The company bills the 1862 Colt Pocket Navy Conversion  as “combining a unique blend of Victorian elegance with the practicality of modern firepower.” This pocket-sized cartridge conversion is a great option for anyone that wants to have a historically accurate carry gun.

MSRP: $570.70. Learn more at Cimarron-Firearms.com.
