At the 2019 NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits in Indianapolis, IN, Surelock Security Co. had a variety of their safes and cabinets on display.

Something that caught my eye was the innovative cabinets that comprise the Constitutional series (pictured at top). They are a brilliant and elegant solution to gun organization. Using a pull-out vertical drawer that the company has dubbed EasyAccess, cabinets in the Constitutional line make it a breeze to access guns or gear located in the rear.

The entire EasyAccess system is tough enough to handle up to 150 pounds, with heavy duty drawer slides and smooth glide support rollers. The drawers include high-density foam that prevents damage with enough spacing to include scoped rifles. The foam insert with generous rifle-sized cutouts is removable and secured via magnet. Its really no surprise that the EasyAccess organization system is patent pending.

These cabinets also get high marks for the smart design elements, such as the access port for power cords that's discreetly placed on the back side. This makes it easy to add lighting or perhaps a de-humidifier.

The best part about Constitutional cabinets is that they are an absolute bargain. There are two models; a single 7-gun cabinet for $430, and a double-sized option that stores up to 14 guns for $869. Both models include a 3-year warranty.

Surelock Security Safes
Surelock safe interiors are customizable. The Inspector series ($739) includes removable shelves and a gun rack (not pictured). This is an ideal safe for beginners, with a 24-gun capacity and 30-minute fire rating.

A quality gun vault is essential to keeping firearms and other valuables secure over the long term. Surelock offers a few different safe lines based on fire ratings. Pricing ranges from $719 for a 12-gun Cadet series safe with a 30-minute fire rating, to $2,639 for the "large and in charge" General series 41-gun model that boasts a 90-minute fire rating. And, interiors are customizable with a bevy of available options.

Surelock offers a lifetime replacement program for safes that covers fire, attempted break-ins and the door mechanisms. Visit the company website for specific warranty information.

Finally, some sage advice on buying a gun safeallow for more space than you think you'll need. You don't want to end up wishing you had bought a bigger one.
