The Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP), in conjunction with USA Shooting, recently announced the dates for the SCTP’s International-Style National Championships. The match will be held this July 24-29, in Colorado Springs, CO. Four spots will be up for grabs on the USA Shooting National Junior Team from the scores shot at this tournament.

The American-Style Trap Nationals were held last July at the Cardinal Shooting Center in Marengo, OH. Nearly 2,200 athletes representing 28 states faced more than 961,000 clay targets during eight days of competition in the shooting disciplines of Trap, Skeet and Sporting Clays. Nationally, there are nearly 13,700 students and more than 2,900 coaches from 43 states participating in the SCTP that have been providing USA Shooting with skilled shooters for years—including 2016 Olympians
Vincent Hancock, Morgan Craft and Corey Cogdell-Unrein.

Registration for the International-Style Championships will open on June 10 for all teams. A limited number of rooms will be available for booking after March 1, but must be booked prior to June 15 at the Double Tree Hotel in Colorado Springs for this week-long event.

Schedule:

Monday July 24th – Open Training
Tuesday and Wednesday July 25th/26th – Skeet Competition
Thursday July 27th – Doubles competition and Open Bunker Training
Friday and Saturday July 28th/29th – Bunker Trap Competition
