There's a good reason the Precision Rifle Series (PRS) named the Savage MSR-15 Long Range one of its official gas guns. Chambered in the .224 Valkyrie cartridge, this rifle is perfect for PRS Light Tactical division competition.

The Savage Arms MSR-15 Long Range features a 22-inch stainless steel heavy barrel, custom-forged upper and lower receivers, user-tunable muzzle brake and two-stage trigger.

Feature-rich to say the least, the MSR-15 Long Range boasts the kind of accouterments that precision rifle enthusiasts have come to expect, starting with the 22-inch stainless steel barrel (type 3 hard anodized) tuned specifically for use with the .224 Valkyrie cartridge. Rifling is a 1:7-inch, right-hand 6G twist. The barrel also includes a two-port muzzle brake mounted with a taper-lock interface to minimize recoil.

Precision shooters will also appreciate the Magpul PRS Gen 3 adjustable stock.

The gas system utilizes a low-profile adjustable gas block, which is enclosed by a free-floating M-Lok handguard. A Hogue pistol grip completes the package.

Overall length ranges from 42⅞ inches to 44¼ inches with the stock full extended. Overall weight is 10.07 pounds.

The MSRP for the Savage Arms MSR-15 Long Range rifle is $1,735.
