Smoke-pole enthusiasts take note! The NMLRA National Spring Shoot is set to occur this year from June 9-17, at the Walter Cline Range in Friendship, IN. To make things even more exciting, the NRA will be conducting their Muzzle Loading Championship right at the shoot, meaning that shooters can compete in both NRA and NMLRA matches while in attendance. While NRA membership is not required to compete in an NRA match, it is required to set a National Record.

Pre-registering for the shoot (available to members only) will knock five dollars off the price, and will enable you to pre-order Rifle Match and Rifle Aggregate targets to save time. Pre-registration prices are $20 for adults and $1 for juniors. Meanwhile, sponsoring a match costs merely an additional $25.

If you can’t make the Spring Shoot, the Walter Cline Range has great events going on all year for Muzzle Loading enthusiasts. The NMLRA Youth Shoot will be held there from July 14-15, the NMLRA Long Range Black Powder Cartridge Knockdown Silhouette Match will take place from August 18-19, and there will be a NMLRA fun shoot kicking off on the 25th of the same month. Additionally, at least one NMLRA event a month will occur through November.
